She would be a bearded LF Buff Laced. YOu can easily tell the difference (or at least I can) in LF and bantam Polish by their body carriage. Large fowl seem to carry themselves more upright and stretched out than bantams.

Is there any one in Northern Michigan who has a Golden Laced Pullet for sale or willing to part with. We just lost one today. It was Betty my son's favorite. I know it's a little strange but he would carry her around and said she was his girl friend because she talked to him - she was a very vocal bird. I would like to find another for him.

Thanks. I dont know anything about the polish breed so I had no idea whether she was bantam or large fowl. Shes really not too big so the bantam variety must be pretty small lol.

aShMaNv because you placed your little buff laced polish beside another bantam of I guess a simular age you can almost be sure that she is a bantam. Polish birds are tall but not heavy as a rule. I guess a lot of their nutrition goes into maintaining feather. The LF are pretty good layer of good size white eggs. I do not know much about the banties but I have a few eggs in the incubator right now. I think that you are pretty lucky to have you little polish hen.

Cochins are considered heavy fowl but again I do not know much about Cochin LF or Bantam but their shape is very different. They are rounder, shorter and have their feather feet and a lot of people use them to brood and raise chicks.

Yes the cochin rooster the Polish hen is standing next to is the same age as her. I am somewhat confused because I am getting mixed answers to whether she is large fowl or a bantam.

Well then she is LF come to think of it since like I said polish are not big birds. LF polish are smaller than most other LF. So I looked at the pictures again and in the second one I see what might be a Welsummer in the background. And if the bird in the background is a LF Welsummer that changes the perspective. It is had to tell. That buff cochin rooster bantam does look sort of large for a bantam. Ahh I was trying to help but it is aonly a guess. More pictures beside different breeds ? Anyway I still think you Polish Hen is Beautiful so there.

I am so glad I can find out so much info here on the Polish. I have bred my SL roo to my GL hen. This is the results!

They both look to be bearded. These are my first ones from my own. I read a post here that it is a 50/50 split on SL with GL...is this true? Thank You~
