Yep. The photos shown on the previous page say most all. . . . The WCB x Tolbunts created the WCB looking young pullets shown. The Silver Laced x Tolbunt I haven't gotten any of yet. (soooo my fault) And Gold Laced x Tolbunt, I sold most of them, and my latest two chicks hatched from a broody - Only one is alive now, ugh, and sadly the lesser of the two.

'Tis about time I go back to using an incubator again. I've relied hopelessly on broodies for too long.

The only things I've learned about sexing is that the older they get, the females see less and the roos more. The males walk more and more upright, the females stay almost horizontal. By 6-8 weeks, I can guess very well.

Well I think I have decided for my shorgirl rooster's sake to get rid of my wcb cockerall. I am bummed because its my only wcb and those are my fave color! Anyone in nor cal sell these little boogers?

also loving all the pics! Tolbunts are absolutely gorgeous. Id love one someday but its not seeming likely that i will ever have one. Our state really lacks in the chicken breeder department. Actually it really lacks in the ANYTHING breeder department!

(well except for the lady a half hour away who breeds wallabies)

I have noticed that about Nevada

You just need to get yourself a good incubator and buy hatching eggs

I have hatched eggs from all over the United States with good results

I even purchased eggs from a BYCer in Georgia and got a 100% hatch!

Wow. Those are very pretty colors.
I may be able to have a hatching project in the near future so I am looking into different types of chickens. I am hoping to find a heritage breed that I can help with while also providing eggs/meat. It's a big maybe right now but, of course, I am already looking. I have been fond of the Russian Orloffs that I have looked into but this Tolbunt Polish is really an eye catcher.

Tolbunt Polish, mine at least, aren't exactly the "best" dual purpose, being Polish and all,

but they're very tough and hardy birds. Polish are a heritage breed, however Tolbunts are not. The Tolbunt color is very new, and many Tolbunts in the US have other breeds in them.

Still, they're a wonderful decision, and believe it or not, they are great free rangers if you have more than just dirt and grass. Their color blends in very well.

Just got a great rock star shot of our hatchery Golden Laced Polish, Stevie, and had to share. The white crested is paying him homage

Both are 12 weeks old.
