Oh, I hope she does! Keep us updated. I'm hoping I'll have some broody Polish but if not I have other breeds to do their work. Although I'm thinking I want to breed some broody into them.

Cross ' em with a silkie! I have several polish x silkie 'accidents' but I have found them to be wonderful layers and mothers. They're also quite the sight

I have ONE. She's a hatchery hen too which makes it even weirder, but three times she's tried. Twice one year, she tried but gave up because the eggs either broke or got eaten by another hen or were just duds. The third time this year she stopped because I stopped her. I wanted eggs from her, as she's very very valuable and I can't believe she's over 2 years old and I've yet to actually collect and hatch any of her eggs.

Hi,

Keep the faith, it took my buff polish trio 2x before they hatched any chicks. My Buff laced may be going to nest--at least she is laying a clutch of eggs in a different spot than where I have the nest box. I put an extra chicken in with my Silver Laced thinking that she would set the eggs, but she didn't :)

My buff trio just hatched 8 chicks, 7 obviously buff and one looks Gold Laced. Wondering if both the hen and roo were mixed or if only one needed to be mixed to produce the "oddball."

Hope you have a bunch of chicks now !
