Punkin

I think Punkin is a roo, but I'm not sure about Oreo..

They were ~6 weeks old in these pictures I think. I'll have to get some updated ones.. These two were part of a polish mixed bag I got from Ideal. One had spraddle leg and died, and the other is white. Odd I don't have any pics of her (I think it's a her)

These two are always the first to greet me in the afternoons when I'm doing chores. I try to tell myself it's not because I have food

Does anyone else notice there polish act like pollocks(I'm allowed to say it as i am polish and give everyone else permissions to make polish jokes on my account!!) But they go in to sleep in the barn every night as long as the barn door is WIDE open! If shut it even 2 inches(and ist a godd 3 feet wide) they can't figure out how to get in and I have to carry them in at night! Some will say its because they can't see but now that they are mixed in with my flock I trim their crests so they can see just fine!!

And I'm polish too, and have heard all the polish jokes - especially having polish chickens

But, If my chickies don't get in the coop on time, they will simply sit down where ever they are standing

Everybody else goes to bed whether it's still light out or not

I like punkin, is he one of the black tailed reds that Ideal has?

I keep hearing about Polish being stupid, my buff laced and silver laced do not seem overly bright but my big splash roos act like any other chicken. The spare roos are loose in the yard and one jumps on top of the pens, then to the top of the back shed then to the tree and perches on a little branch hanging down in front of the pens about 10 ft up. Those two splash roos ruled the yard until I let the spare welsummer roos out, lol.

I agree....Ralph (she is pullet) acts really ditsy at times. She runs in circles a lot and she is just so funny to watch at times. The rest of the group kind of pick on her at times. They make her eat last, so I have started feeding her separately. Yesterday she heard the geese flying over and she ran out and started making noises, she sounds just like a goose.
I love her though!
