David Bowie is certainly one sexy rooster

You can tell he thinks a lot of himself too LOL. I am so loving having polish they are just the sweetest birds, neurotic! but sweet.

Is your David Bowie the right color, His tail? Are they supposed to be white-ish...Or are they suppose to have that cuckcoo pattern throughout all of the feathers?

My Phil looks almost like him, but he has some all black & whiteish, a couple of feathers where the cuckcoo pattern started on the bottom, but did not go all of the way up, tail feathers in there too...
Does some one have a picture of the correct tail feathers on a cuckcoo, if this is not right...

Honestly I don't know if it is correct or not. It is cuckoo all the way to the end although it does get lighter. I would be interested to find out.

Cuckoo should be the same pattern/color all the way through. Not sure what is going on with your boy.

Alright, since they've grown up more, here's my Tolbunt boys (pardon the wetness, it rans a LOT here in the fall/winter/spring) and the girls they share their area with.

I completely understand that White Crested Black is NOT a color to be using with Tolbunts, I just have them in there for safety. All the girls are molting right now, as you can see in their crests. I'm really hoping to get some Gold Laced pullets/hens, because otherwise I'll just be hatching the Silver Laced girl's eggs. They should turn out as sex-linked Tolbunt colored chicks.

Oh, and you might notice that my smooth cockerel has a small "butterfly" comb. Although that isn't wanted, I do find it really neat looking. It has 3 points on each side, is symmetrical, and the farther back points curl inward like horns.

My frizzle has no comb at all, which is what I prefer.

Here are some of my tolbunts hens. Sadly no roos. Still looking. Also have WC Blacks, Buff and Golden Laced. Currently have a golden laced roo in with these since that's all I have to work with.
