she/ the 1st frizzle pullet, is on the lighter side, but can be used to produce perfectly nice dark GL Polish bantams.

I'm breeding her to the darkest gold roo I have, pic kind of made them to be a little lighter than they appear, especially the roo.

The darker pic / 2nd pic shows how dark he really is..

Collected 3 eggs yesterday from my golds & frizzle golds, 3 eggs out of 4 hens.

I had kept one cockerel and the only pullet out of the last batch; she was BB and he RB in a show this fall. Then Lacey became ill, apparently Marek's, and died.

I was devastated. I always really hate it when I lose one, but she was pretty special--a really sweet pullet. I have Cagney with a sumatra hen now so that neither is lonely, but want a real mate or so for him, even if I have to wait a few months for one to grow up.
You can bet I have Marek's vaccine on hand now for my chicks; I lost a few young chickens last year--don't know where it came from. I was told that it was a problem in this area last year.

I'd be happy with either. I don't want hatchery stock so I'm not going to be terribly picky. This boy I have has flaws for sure, so I'd like to get some nice girls to clean him up a bit. I love hatching, but polish can be difficult. But either way, I'd be happy to find some......if you have eggs available that would be cool.

There are numerous, pretty much every bantam variety has a large fowl counterpart, especially in Europe where they have been breeding them longer than we have in the states. The bantams seem to be much more popular here though. The more popular large fowl in the states that are easier to obtain are the white crested blacks, gold laced, silver laced, and buff laced.

Well the verdict is in...two hens and one roo. Josephine is on the left...henrietta on the right
Not shown is Claudette who became Claude.
