haven't posted on here for a while....here is the ugliest chick i have ever hatched...no idea why...no feathers left in shell...growing in now..

Just wondering my polish rooster never seems to crow much. Does anyone else have one that doesnt. Hes the only roo I have with 8 hens.

Mine hasn't crowed either. In fact, I have twice caught him sitting on eggs and today saw him squat for the feral game rooster that took up here to mount him......

ETA: The two hens are laying so he should be old enough.

Sharon, a roo will mount another to show them they are superior. I've always see my Polish roo warm up the nest for the girls, or hang out with them in the nest.

I guess that is good to know. I may need him to be a he as I just got two tolbunts and they are both frizzled. I am going to put them all together and move all the others out to another pen.

He sure is confusing me! I am sure he is a he....just not too much a he...
