That would be great. Let me know if you want to "borrow" the roo or send your girls down here for a vacation.

No! No! No! No projects for me. I am living vicariously following the thread and get nervous with all the losses and close calls. I would keel over if I was dealing with it first hand!
Seriously, I would not mind loaning you a hen...two of mine are nice and lay well....the third one seems to be a bit confused on the hen thing. I have not heard back from that lady in Tallahassee about getting any more GL's.

Well the babies are by themselves still and my older polish are in with a cuckoo marans and a barred rock...they all grew up together so I have not had any plucking issues thankfully. I (very very briefly) had three sex links that chased them and bullied them so they had to go. Polish RULE!

<Secretly plots trip to Blountstown>

We have family in Marianna, so maybe I can talk DH into taking a trip.

I am 30 minutes from there! I really would not mine letting you take one of the laying hens. I don't want to go heavily into breeding these. I just do not think I would be good at it. I know I could not cull....so I don't need to be making bunches of chicken babies. If nothing else we may could meet part way. I have four more weeks then I am out for the summer so I will have lots of time.
