I am going to take a stab at this, even though I am not exactly sure what you are trying to say and your posts confuse me.

If you show Polish, they are entered into whatever variety (color) they are, be it frizzle or smooth. So, if you have a firzzled WC Black non-bearded, that is how it would be entered. However, a WC Splash would be entered into the AOV section, since it is not an accepted color.

Question - Are Polish chicken eggs hard to hatch?

And I'm trying to find someone with a pair of Polish bantams and I'm not having much luck trying to find someone that does sell them....

Shipped Polish eggs are harder to hatch, but not nearly as hard as shipped d'Uccle eggs. It really is all in the packing and handling by the PO though. My homegrown Polish eggs hatch like popcorn once they start. I have a hatch of 5 dozen going on right now (not my eggs, but were picked up and not shipped) that is going wonderfully.

We will be putting a Polish auction up tonight, if you are interested.

My first hatch of 12 I got 1 and it died. My 2nd hatch, I got 8/16---5 were boys. This hatch, I got 14 eggs, and I got 10 babies. I think they are harder to survive shipping. But not as hard as BLRW, LOL

It sounds better than my luck! LOL

And I would feel better getting chicks or adults since I'm not good at incubating and the incubator usually die at the last moment.

Well, I just got my first 2 polish pullets this week, and now I don't know what to do. It's wet up here
in the Puget Sound, and I don't want to put them out in case they get wet and catch pneumonia.
I heard somewhere that you can tie up their crests (I really don't want to cut them off - do they grow back?),
does anyone do it, and how is it done so as not to hurt them?

I got one black crested white, and one white crested black.

AND, not only that, they have been with roos so their eggs are fertile (I have got three already, and with
what I get tomorrow, they will go in the incubator. I wish I could wait longer, but we are going on vacation
in just over 3 weeks, and want them to hatch before we go.

any help much appreciated - I am so excited about my new ladies!
