Think i'm gonna put my gold laced trio (bantam) up for auction...to many projects going at one time...have to start thinking about winter...gotta try to stay under a hundred birds to go through winter...hmmm shutting the bator off may help too!!

Yeah, it is miserable hot out. I try to get things done early in the a.m. and then come indoors until it cools off later in the day. I run box fans in my wired in carports for my exotics and it is still hot; but, at least the air moves some that way. Sorry about your baby, that sucks. Susan

What are your winters like there? Here they are wet, wet and more wet. My major projects all summer have been to put metal corrugated roofing on my "chicken" kennels. I just finished a big one a day or so ago and have 4 more to go. There is always some project that needs doing. I have to decide what birds to sell also. Sometimes that can be really easy and sometimes not! Susan

Some of my chickens have a big low tree in their pen and they are quite happy. I don't know what it is with trees-seems cooler than roofing.

Could I get some pointers please

about what to look for when choosing a rooster to keep since I ended up with three? They are buff laced bantams. Thanks!

If a rooster is sitting on the peak of a barn roof, and lays an egg, which way will the egg roll off?
