Yes she did hatch them and I am as surprised as you are.
I hope she keeps up the good work, i still don't fully trust her. She is usually the most aggresive and miserable out of all my Polish hens.

I need some education here folks. What does the term "self" mean in relation to color of poultry. I am guessing that it means that the bird will breed true if mated with the same color of the opposite sex ? How do they come about in the first place. Two gene for the same color ? Can some one straighten this out for me please ?

it should be solid blue not self blue self blue would be more like the lavender or what we call kahki in polish
