Today I was cleaning out the chick hatchery bin thing I have all my 1-2 week chicks in. One of my polish had a bad case of pasty butt. She is 2 weeks old. So I took her to the bathroom and washed her bum in warm water. They are so small though, that I soaked half of her. I toweled her off, and put her back with the rest under the heat (90ish). The next time I look in she is lying down, evryone is stepping all over her and she is acting distressed. So I took her out and had my daughter hold her with cupped hand to keep her warm. She stopped peeping and fell asleep. So my daughter put her back in the bin. I go to check again and she is lying on her side. So I hold her, she is peeping quit loud, but quiets when she is warmed. But soon after she died. What the heck happened?
