Poll #5 - Pancakes or Waffles?

Bisquick, waffles have oil. Pancakes don't. LOL

They are the same. I mix up the exact same batter but cook it in a different way,

I have a pancake recipe, and a waffle recipe, and there are several differences between them.

My waffles (recipe came with the waffle iron) have whipped egg whites, oil, and no sugar.

My pancakes (family recipe) have sugar, no oil, and the egg whites do not get whipped.

Both have flour, milk, eggs, salt, and baking powder, but some of the proportions are different from one to the other. No buttermilk or vanilla in either of my recipes.

My waffle ingredients:
1. 4 cups all purpose flour
2. 1 tsp. salt
3. 4 tsp. baking powder
4. 4 eggs
5. 2 tbsp. butter
6. 1 tsp vanilla extract
7. 3 cups of milk
8. 2 tsp. sugar

The rare times when I do eat breakfast I don’t. Macaroni and cheese is a favorite breakfast meal.

I have pancakes or waffles sometimes at home if DH makes them. This morning he made non-fluffy omelet. If I have breakfast out I do have french toast.

It depends on a few things.1) who is making them. If hubby, definitely waffles. If me, pancakes. 2) how much time do we have for breakfast? Short on time = pancakes. 3) do I have maple syrup in the house or just jams and preserves? Maple is waffles, but pancakes are delicious with preserves.

btw, I make waffles too, but hubby has a mental block with pancakes. He has trouble flipping them, so never makes them. Fir this reason I usually let him make waffles. Got to let those men shine in the kitchen sometimes,
