Left handed but I use my right hand for several things including cutting - I think it is because they never had left handed scissors when I was growing up.
I'm wondering how many of you "left handers" struggle with left/right directions when they are given. If someone says "its on your left" I have to stop and think for a second. I am much better with N/S/E/W.

I give compass directions as well. Here it's easy, West is the beach, South is mexico, East is skiing, and North is Big bear. Don't know how to give directions in Kansas.... "head NE towards the flat".

I can't do "right or left" directions either. N/S/E/W I'm good at though!
I write with my right hand and use things like knives with my right hand only, but MOST other things I can do fairly well with either hand.
I CAN actually write with my left hand pretty well, but it feels awkward.
When I try to write with my right hand it looks worse than my 5 y/o's writing, but 'big' things I do better with my right, like driving, riding a bike, things like that.
And I don't do well with the left or right directions either, but I'm not all that good with N/S/E/W. I'm more of a 'your way' or 'my way' type when I'm riding with someone
ETA: Basically anything that requires a lot of fine motor skills is a lefty thing for me
When I was in the Academy, there was a guy who would alternate shooting with his left and right hands. When asked if he was ambidextrous, he replied "No. I can use both hands."
