I have a broody hen who is going to have some chicks in the beginning of March.
Here is her hatch along thread:

We were discussing the fact that she does not have a name. I gathered some name suggestions from some members, and decided to make a poll. The name with the highest number of votes is going to be her name! (Should there be a tie, I will call up some judges and they will decide )

I think she looks like a Dorris…very aware, with the potential to be very nosey

My chickens get "people" names, and one of my Buckeyes is Beatrix, so Beatrice is my choice. Beatrix, BTW, was named for one of the nurses on "Call the Midwife." Nickname for both the TV character and my girl is Trixie.
