I learned on a Standard too. Dad took me out and was ready to wring my neck. Mom taught me with no problem at all, lol.

In the Netherlands 18 was the age you could take you’re first driving lessons. Now it’s 17.

Youre not allowed to take lessons in a normal car with a parent or other relative. Only allowed in a car with an extra break and from someone who is official instructor.
Our traffic is so hectic, that its not a good idea to do otherwise.

I started doing it at 13, with my mom in the car. I was driving the golf cart WAY before that so I was naturally good at it!
