So I was curious to see if there are a few particular breeds more apt to be Head Hen? Lol. Obviously this would only count if you have a mixed flock of breeds! Thanks for participating!

PS I know there are way more breeds but I could only post the maximum allowed responses!

Standard Coop: Dino my Project Wheaten Crele Orpington rooster is the Alpha.

Bantam Coop: Phoenix, an OEGB rooster is the Alpha.

Mixed Flock Coop: An Easter Egger rooster is the Alpha.

Oh, head hen. Must've not read far enough.

For Head Hens.

Standard Coop: Project Wheaten Crele Orpington hen, Smarty Pants an EE, & a Buff Orpington hen.

Bantam Coop: Fluffy, a Silkie hen, 2 Red JungleFowl hybrid hens, & Poof, a Silkie hen.

Mixed Flock Coop: Mean Lady, a Marans/Gamefowl X Project Orpington mix, 2 Light Brahma hens.

I have two coops.
In with my standards I have two silkie hens, who are constantly broody and crazy bossy as well. One of them has always been the boss. We call her the "terrorist". She even chases the wild birds away when they "free range". They were all raised together, so I left these two girls with them even after I built the bantam coop.
In my bantam coop, a silkie cross is the boss. These are though all younger birds, so pecking order may change.😊
