Poll: what type of cookware do you use?

When I chose a wedding ring for my husband I chose a titanium band for him. Love titanium. Won't scratch, won't bend, very light weight, no allergic skin reactions - amazing metal.

My husband's ring is titanium too.

I have teflon coated pots and pans. No cast iron, I used to have a big skillet, got lost in the move several years ago. I had a glass pan for years (that thing was older than I am) that I just discovered is cracked. I didn't think you could crack them, but it appears you can.

Does anyone have Lodge enamel coated cast iron? I found them at Kitchen Collection and they're about 1/4 the price of LeCreuset. I need a covered 6 quart dutch oven to bake this artisan bread recipe that was featured in Mother Earth News. It's gotten rave reviews online and in the current issue.

I saw that recipe too and wanted to try it but we just bought a couple of loaves from a local lady who makes bread. If you do make it let me know how it is. It's the no knead one isn't it.

Yes, that's the one. I usually buy LaBrea bread from Kroger that's fresh-baked every day, but of course they're just baking it from frozen dough shipped from California. I don't know of any local bakers who do that kind of bread. It would be nice to be able to do it myself.

The thing with aluminum cans, so far as I recall, is that you should empty the contents shortly after opening them, because once there is oxygen present, the aluminum might react with the food, especially acidic foods.

No teflon here. We use stainless steel.

Cookware?? That would mean I would have to cook. I hide mine and tell DH I can't cook cuz I don't have anything to cook with!!

I have one. Something else I "inherited" from my SO's mom. In fact, since he comes from a long line of pack rats, I have enough cookware for five families! I tend to use just my few favorite pieces alot, but heaven forbid I should get rid of any of it!
I have that bread recipe too. Been meaning to make it. Maybe tonight.
