POLL: Wyandottes or Orpingtons? Why?

I would personally choose orps for their single comb, size, temperament, egg production and weather tolerable. Exhibition stock is massive compared to average backyard stock and absolutely gorgeous to watch in the yard.

Yes I am biased but then again I raise orpingtons in both LF and bantams.

I don't have blue of either type, but I think my Buff orps are a lot more personable and seem to be smarter than my SLWs. They are still young though

I am going to say orps, just because they are what I have dealt with.. they are great birds... I have heard nothing but good things about Wyandottes

There are more breeders working with Blue Orps than Blue Wyandottes, so even though I'm an Orp fan I voted for Wyandottes.

I picked Wyandottes because:

1. They are very hardy in cold and hot temps.
2. Less people are working with them.
3. And personally I've never have cared for Orps because they have to the meanest chickens I have ever owned.
