someone mentioned using poly tri vitisol for preemie chicks to give them a boost (poly tri vitisol is an over the counter infant vitamin supplement for breastfed babies because they don't always get all the vitamins they need, particularly vitamin D in the cooler winter climates) has anyone used this? how well does it work would i use say 1 dropper per quart of water?

You can dose it directly to the weakest birds if you want to, 2 to 3 drops per day to the beak for a week. Then reduce the dose for the next week.

You can probably use the number of drops per day x the number of chicks you have to determine how much to add to your water container as a rough estimate.

Make sure you buy the kind that does *not* have iron.
