Poly-vi-sol Iron confusion

I thought I had bought "no-iron" baby vitamins-- due to the lack of a "with iron!" blurb on the front of the label, and because iron is not mentioned in the nutritional panel on the back of the box (where it says how much of each nutrient is in the stuff).

But when I double-checked the ingredients, "ferrous sulfate" is among them. What gives? Is it just... Incidentally present, but in a small enough quantity that it should be safe? I'd assume that if there was a non-negligible amount, it would be mentioned in the breakdown of %-daily-value vitamins & minerals, and advertised on the front?

Chick tax: Eloise, week-old Partridge Olive-Egger

Context: Not urgently needing to know (knock wood), no babies in need of nursing back to health at this time-- I was considering giving them a bit occasionally in their water as a preventative/supplement. Mainly just meant to have it on hand just in case it's needed, so we're not scrambling to find the right stuff on short notice.

It is an iron supplement. They don't list all the included supplements in the % daily requirement section. These are for human consumption and why it refers to RDA.
You may be able to use it sparingly but I'd be careful. I have bought poly-vi-sol as an emergency measure but for chickens, Poultry Nutri-Drench is much better as it is formulated for them, not humans.

Forgot to respond last week- thanks for the pointer! I'll stock some Nutri-Drench. It seems like everywhere you look, people are recommending the poly-vi-sol for chicks! Guess maybe it's just easier to lay hands on in a pinch.
