Pomegranate rind only?

Is it ok to give the chicks pomegranate rind only? I just seeded one and we eat the seeds but hated to throw out the rind if they like it.

I cut up the pom & give baby chicks seeds & all. No one ever touches the rind. But they find the seeds lots of fun.

Yeah I went ahead and threw it in there but they didn't touch it. Maybe because I threw in a bread heel and some oatmeal at the same time (I was scooping the coop and wanted them to stay out of it).
