Pomegranate?

Half a pomegranate that nobody wanted is in my kitchen...is it ok for the birds?
Figured I'd ask as its a bit more of an obscure fruit

Just don't be surprised when the poo turns red! (I about had a fit the first time I gave pomegranate to my parrot. For a second I thought I killed him!)

OMG! The first time I gave a pommie to my parrot, you should have seen my wall! He just loves biting into them and the juice squirts everywhere. Big parrot fun! Now, I make him eat them on his stand in the shower, with the curtain partially closed and just hose it down afterwards!

Some parrots aren't allowed to even eat pommies, because of the mess. I think that is sad. That's what the shower is for!
