Half a pomegranate that nobody wanted is in my kitchen...is it ok for the birds?
Figured I'd ask as its a bit more of an obscure fruit

I gave mine one once, they ate most of it. No bad things happened .

Just don't be surprised when the poo turns red! (I about had a fit the first time I gave pomegranate to my parrot. For a second I thought I killed him!) [IMG]

OMG! The first time I gave a pommie to my parrot, you should have seen my wall! He just loves biting into them and the juice squirts everywhere. Big parrot fun! Now, I make him eat them on his stand in the shower, with the curtain partially closed and just hose it down afterwards! [IMG]

Some parrots aren't allowed to even eat pommies, because of the mess. I think that is sad. That's what the shower is for! [IMG]
