We have just been blessed with 9 pomeranian saddleback goslings. We have some with dark beaks and some with light/pink beaks. Anyone have an idea if this is a sex determination and which is which? At a total loss and only want to keep two females. I cannot vent sex so I am hoping there is another way. Any help much appreciated.

Im sorry I cant read this post without pic!!!!

unless the OP feels like waiting a year, the OP wont be able to tell by that characteristic, lol

I had the same comment from a friend and my very helpful husband. The problem is at about 4 days old I would not be expecting the eggs yet. I am now trying to teach myself the vent sex them. Boggy Bottom Bantams had some good directions. How would 4 day old goose eggs taste you think? Hahahaha

Geese still hatching at this time of year! You lucky GOOSE. Vent sexing is a true art, and I do not know how, but people say to be very careful because you can actually hurt the goslings! I would love to know how also.

i'm sorry I can't help you...maybe contact holderrands, he is an expert they say. I wish I were more help. Good Luck.
