Pond Brooder Floor too Slick

I made an indoor pond out of wood and pond liner. The turtles out grew it fast so I was wondering if it would make a good duck and chicken brooder? Would the floor be too slick or would that matter with hay and pine shavings on it?

Should be fine- if you are worried, put newspaper down, and then the wood chips..,
