Pond weed could refer to almost anything. Can you identify the plant for us with it's scientific name or pictures?

It may not have been the plant at all but the algae and associated mycotoxins in the water the plants came from.

sorry I cant confirm the genus of pond weed a bit beyond me and I agree that it may be other things like toxins and micro organisms, for me, I am just going to ban feeding what I am not certain is safe. Chickens will peck any thing so ill try and be a bit more conventional with what I feed, vegie peelings boiled and mixed with layers mash go down well. on the good side the other girls are back on lay and in good form so I live and learn
