Poo as big as golf balls ???

Oh, yeah- all the time here! ...

and sometimes the white urates are all on the outside and they're perfectly round- love to see the hubby hit one of those with a pitching wedge...I keep waiting!

I get some monster poops, too! Oddly, the largest bird I have (a HUGE Orp rooster) poos about 2 marbles put together. But our ugly little 4lb New Hampshire Red hen poops golf balls!

I LOVE THIS FORUM! Our Isa Brown laid her first 2 eggs this week and this morning I found the most comically large poo laying in their dust bath area. I thought for sure, "No, this can't be from a chicken!" I ran inside, typed 'giant poo' in the search engine of Backyardchickens.com and lo and behold, your calming help is here! SO glad to hear it's normal (it was exactly as described above) Thanks again!

See, now SOMEONE in my 17-week-old flock is leaving enormous turds, And I was wondering if there was any relationship to egg-laying readiness. You know, like the "passage" was getting bigger in anticipation. No? Because some of them are as big as small eggs.

My chicks just started laying and i found a poo 2x the size of any eggs they laid so far, and i did the same thing, i got on byc and searched for big poo lol. its good to read that its no big deal.
