Poo board is the way to go.

I slid a leftover piece of masonite under the hens roosts last night. Made cleaning this a.m. a breeze. My hens free-range in the backyard during the day so they don't poop alot in the pen. Most of the "business" take place at night. Just pick up the board and scrape in the poo pail. Alot less scooping and sifting. Just my $0.02...YMMV.

I completely agree, it keeps the coop a lot cleaner. I love mine.
