Poo Covered eggs/ Cleaned Best able too But bator stinks

Maybe you could just start smelling them 1 at a time. There may just be 1 bad egg in there. You will know when you smell the bad one. Be brave , try it. Maybe if this is true, you can save the rest of them. I have put dirty eggs in and they don't smell that strong.Good luck.

Sure sounds like you are having a bad buying streak ,hopefully it will get better.

I sure hope this doesnt stop you from trusting sellers on BYC . I have purchased eggs from many different sellers on this site and only have had big troubles with one seller .The other sellers i have dealt with were absolutely wonderful and honest !

edited to say : I purchased button quail eggs from KellyHm and just got my first hatchling from them , a few mins ago and have 8 more with pips so far , YAY !

Hopefully you will get some chicks from those eggs and then in 7 weeks you hatch some of your own eggs and the fun begins.

I live in Ohio too. Your not really that far from me. I am in Geauga county. As bad as it sounds I'm gonna check all the eggs. 5 kids later and being on a Rescue Squad smell doesn't affect me. Hopefully we get something out of this Thanks for the help.

Okay everyone, thanks for the help again. Just got done turning quail eggs, (I did go through all of them and could only smell poo) Kids ad hubby were gaging and saying I was crazy. Heard that before also for being female I'm not normal. But anyway I found the bad culprit, the cleanest egg in the batch. It oused a little but luckily I had another bator up and ready so good eggs went in there and this bator is sprayed down for disinfecting. Thanks everyone

I'm so glad you found the bad one ! I had to hunt down a stinker this same way. No fun at all. But it works. Good luck with the rest of them.

Thanks, It was pretty smelling for all of them but it had to wait to ouse. I told hubby that the extra homemade bators would come in handy. I have built 6 so far and sold three of them. Not to bad I think. Also hubby wants the quail. So theres the exception.
