Where did you get your grid?

One man's garbage is another man's treasure.

It was out to the road on garbage day (we have 2 such pick ups of large items every year). I just could not leave it there and at the time I had no use for it.

I got tired of brushing poop off the board, very gross. I use cardboard boxes, open them up and lay down on board. Change out once a week, just fold flaps over poop and roll up. I work out of my house and get work in old boxes so I do get a lot boxes to recycle. This works well also during cold winters and frozen poop.

Great idea thank you for the tip. I also line my nest boxes with the nylon mesh feed bags from Purina. Poop just peels off of them in Canadian winters also just flexes of them when put out in the sun to bake and dry in summer.

I have a buddy that repurposed the sides of a baby's crib to accomplish the same sort of set up.

I would use vinyl over the wood for the poop board.
I use vinyl on my board, with pdz. My coop floor has black jack 57, with pine shavings.

Have you had much poop stick to BJ57 floor?
Comes off my vinyl floor fine, same vinyl as poop boards.

No, not much gets stuck on the floor. I move the shavings around and add some through the year, it gets about 5 - 6 inches deep. I don't scrape the floor until I clean it out once a year. I might have five or six spots that I have to scrape.

The only thing I've seen it used for was to water proof coop floors and up the wall a foot or so. The half dozen or so applications I've seen here worked pretty well.
