I am soon to be building my third coop, and want to know how you built your poop board.
Or course, pictures are best!

I mounted two 2x4 on the wall opposite each other with a couple of hockey stick handles mounted under the 2x4 to serve as cross members to hold a poop board (1/4 inch piece of plywood).

I then place two 2x4 on their flat edge with 2x2 blocking to serve as spacer to hold the 2x4 in place so they become removable roost.

Not a very descriptive pictures but I hope you can get the idea.

Works for me!!.

Any eggs laid through the night are caught by the poop board (eggs only drop 3 1/2 inches) and it saves the day.

One of the things I did right in my coop.

My poop boards are essentially tables. Ideal since they are well supported and you can hang feeders/waterers underneath. Mine are about 24" wide and about 6" below the roost bar. Easy to make with scrap 2/4's and plywood. I scrape them daily.

Roost bar shown with half of it with a poop board (table) and the other half without.
