Poop Boards....What do you like and dislike about yours?

I lined mine with linoleum remnants and topped them with PDZ. I scoop them every morning with a large kitty litter scoop. Then it goes to the compost pile.

I switched from linoleum to laminate. And scrape it mosy days. Takes 30 seconds to scrape it into a galvaized buckèt that gets dumped into the compost bin.

So glad I found this post. We are in the process of building our second coop and I want to put in poop boards. How wide is everyone making their board. I'll be doing a single roosting bar.

24" wide, single roost down the center 8" above board....no 'overshoots'.

Mine is 3' x 10' with two roosts. My poop board is also the top of my in coop brooder. I really like it. I just scrap it off every morning with one of those kid sized garden hoes. Linoleum covers the top of it, but there are places that are coming up along the edges. We needed to use more glue.

I also do deep litter, so some days I just scrap it off onto the floor, and other days I scrap it into a bucket and dump it into my compost bin. The one draw back to having a poop board is if you plan on going somewhere for the weekend, it doesn't get cleaned and is kinda stinky when you get back.
