Can you tell me what material works best to put in the box under the roost? What is used in the photo?

make sure they are almost chip sized though and not dusty!i would 100 percent suggest pine shavings! they’ve worked great for us and don’t smell too bad!!!
I don't have chickens in the coop yet but I like this method -- I was at TSC yesterday but was not able to find PDZ - I was near the wood/shaving bedding. Was I looking in the wrong spot? Where do you get it?I use about 1/4" Sweet PDZ and scoop every morning with a metal cat litter scoop into an old cat litter bucket that gets dumped into my compost bin about every 3 days.
Thank you so much.. Can you tell me where I can find the Sweet PDZ?What photo?

I get 40# bags at Agway or Home Central (ordered online on their website then picked up at the store). TSC carries it too but in 25# bags.Thank you so much.. Can you tell me where I can find the Sweet PDZ?
