On it. They are on medicated feed but I’m concerned maybe it was expired. Picking up new food and corid.Yep, I would give corid
Everyone acting okay. One--procelein d'uccle--was acting a little slow today. I got new food and Corid. I might give them a small dose in their water just to be safe. ?Doesn't look like coccidiosis to me. How is their behavior?
Always good to have Corid on hand, just in case.
Okay that works out to ~.3 mL per 1 cup if I use the 2 tea per Gal ratio. Should I cut that back knowing I’m giving medicated food too? Thanks for all your help by the way.Doesn't hurt to give them Corid, but don't do a mini dose (that's how you build up resistance in parasites you're trying to get rid of). If you're going to use it follow the dosing instructions. In case you're unsure: https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...ol-ampromed-the-correct-amprolium-dose.73341/
You can probably go with the shorter times estimates (unless you see more lethargy, more bloody poops), since it sounds like most of the birds are doing ok.
I would just give the dosage as indicated (and feel free to continue using the feed you're using), rather than try to calculate how much to dial it back to include the low dose that's already in the feed. It's very hard to overdose on Corid.Okay that works out to ~.3 mL per 1 cup if I use the 2 tea per Gal ratio. Should I cut that back knowing I’m giving medicated food too?
