Poop In Food

There seems to be one chick that likes to climb on top of the feeder and poop on top and get poop in the chick feed. Is this a problem?

It can be. So what you could do is put something like a cone on top of the feeder so the chick can't sit there. The poop has a lot of undesirable organizims in it. I think preventing it from sitting up there would help with the problem.

We clean the poop out of our chicks feeder, when they start getting on top we have attached wires to it so that we can raise it up but that won’t stop them. The main thing is to keep it clean.

Chicks are still babies. And babies still aren't qquite sure what food is. If it stays in there they might start to think that it's food. Just take it out asap and clean the food out and your chicks will be okay. They could get sick from eattigng poo--ew. So just make sure their food stays clean.
