Poop question

I was down in the basement spending some quality time with my wellie chicks and noticed that one of them had very running poop. It had a little spot of hard black stuff stuck to its butt. I picked that off very easily but don't know if the runny poop is something to be concerned about or not.

Good morning Larry, if your chicks are active I wouldn't be worried. You will see runny droppings from time to time. It depends on if it's fecal droppings or cecal droppings. Cecal will be brown and runny.

Not sure what that means. Rookie here. I really couldn't see the poop but could hear that it was very liquid. They all seem to be healthy and active. I did notice last night that one of the older comet chicks out in the coop had some brown runny poop too.

Great site for checking out poo. There is a lot of normal variation in poo!
