Poop sticking to a hen's butt?

I just got a new hen from my brother-in-law 2 weeks ago. She was a witness to predator attacks (the other hen and chick got mutilated during the attacks, and in order to protect her BIL gave her to us) and as of yet hasn't laid any eggs, though she has been a good layer in the past. She's a sexlink. I think about a year old. Anyway, this morning I noticed she had poop sticking to her butt. Is this a vent problem? Do I need to get her checked out or do anything for her? I'm a little concerned since she hasn't laid any eggs at all in the 2 weeks we've had her. I understand upsetting her system and all that by moving and the attacks, but I thought by now she'd have some personality and would be laying. She has zero personality and is like the depressed chicken in the flock or something. She was in her own coop up until a couple days ago and was just added to the rest of the flock. What should I do?

She's going through a lot of transition right now... It'll take a little while, don't give up....

Do you offer grit? You can add probiotics (from the feed store) or a little yogurt 2x a day to help with digestion. For the pasties, trim the area if necessary and clean it up, lube with veg oil to keep poo from sticking. - also, maybe a supplement in her diet to help with all the stress, I give mine kelp meal in their feed and sometimes a little "rooster booster" in the water - it also has probiotic in it.....

I just gave her some yogurt and she is eating the heck out of it. I'll stop by the feed store sometime soon to see about some kelp or other supplements. Thanks!
