Poop stuck on quail chick. Need Help

Hey guys. I noticed some poop seems to be dried on one of my quail chicks butt. I thought it would come off easily so I tried to lightly remove it. But it's hardened up pretty good. What should I do? He looks active and is eating and drinking normally.

Work on it a little at a time until it does come off. Unless it is far enough from the vent that it has no possibility of impacting the vent, in that case you can leave it be.

if it is interfering with his pooping I would hold him and dip his behind in warm water to help soften the poo then gently scrape it off. then dry him and replace him before he gets too cold. Although if you have him in your hand he will be pretty warm. good luck

He is able to poop, but that poop is still stuck a little higher than his vent. I'll just leave it?
