Pooping in next boxes

Exactly it still has come from she chickens back end. Chickens poop where ever they feel it come on. Mine some times poo in the nest box, but I remove poo daily. I think it's all part of keeping chickens excepting the poo.

I would still wash the eggs after you gathered them just for sanitation purposes.  Great idea to block the nest boxes. Mine sleep in them as well and there is poops so guess we wll block them out and add another roost for them.
