Pooping in the nest box

There is not much you can do about it. Chickens dont have the ability to wait so they just go where ever they happen to be sitting. Unfortunately I just scoop out the bedding everyday with a dust pan and add new it doesn't take to long depending I guess on how many girls you have....... good luck

You could actually line the nest box with a liner like they use for cat litter boxes, but it would get pricey. Grocery bags could work as a liner. I don't know how viable it is, just an idea.

Ours park on the entry roost with their butts in the nest box for the night. There is a special stick on the wall for scraping and flicking poop out of the nest!
