I went out to check on my chicks this morning and one of them scared me half to death when it started screaming. The poor thing is straining terribly and screaming whenever it tries to poop. Sometimes it passes some and sometimes it doesn't. It was fine yesterday. Its whole rear is kind of wet too. Is there anything I can do for her?
Another chick has like a chapped vent. There is white all over it, which I thought was poop at first, but it takes forever to get it off with a wet washcloth. It looks like white fluid just leaks out occasionally. Is there anything wrong and if so what can I do?
There are no bloody stools in the brooder and all the chicks are eating and drinking normally. Out of ten, these are the only two with issues. Please help!
