Poopy butt cut??

I have some Buffy’s with very fluffy bums. If they have poopy butt, can I give them a cut? Would it hurt them to trim off some of the bum feathers? Are there parts of the feathers that have blood supply that would hurt?

Unless they're just growing the feathers in where you might have blood feathers to deal with, trimming feathers is no more harmful than a haircut.

I have to trim my BO’s butts all the time, just don’t do it right after they molt when they’re growing new feathers as @rosemarythyme says.

Ironically I have a hen called Buffy who had a bum which was damaging her street cred in A pretty major way.
I trimmed the feathers and she is as happy as a pig in the same stuff I removed.
