Hi all,
I have a 2-year old Rhode Island Red who has been pretty lethargic for the last two days. Her comb is paler than her RIR sisters in the flock, and she has poopy/eggy feather below her vent. She is still eating and drinking, and free ranged with the rest today but she is slower and somewhat wobbly. She is also bloated looking compared to just a few days ago.
I did the glove/olive oil exam and did not feel a whole egg and I don't think there were shell pieces inside either. Also, someone in the flock has been laying broken eggs.
What would you do?
Many thanks!
