My poor silkie hen got her beautiful crest pecked till she was bald. I suspect pecking atleast. This happened maybe 6 weeks ago and the feathers still haven't grown back. I have been putting rooster booster pick no more on her just to keep her from being pecked to give them a chance to grow but nothing is sprouting yet. Is this normal to take this long? Or is she stuck looking like this forever? Also she is 10 months old. Also we do not have any roosters so it's not from mating.

Can you post some photos?

If the feather shafts are still intact in the skin, then feathers generally will not be replace until she molts.
If the feathers were completely pulled out, then after 6 weeks, you *should* be seeing pin feathers coming in. If she's still with the flock, they may be picking/pulling out any new growth as it comes in. You may need to separate her within the coop/run to see if the feather growth improves.
Is she your only Silkie?

A couple still look intact but most I believe we're pulled completely out. I have rehomed the suspected aggressors. I have her and 2 other silkies. We have a very small flock. Only 5 hens as of now.
