I have just started hatching this fall im on my third and fourth batch. I have only hatched marans till this last two. I read on here somewhere that you have to start off with low hummidity 25-35% 102
for still air and 99.5 for forced air. My first hatch was with a LG still air I had heck with the temp up and down hummidity up and down. I have added a fan in the LG and have done well so far with Marans, Golden Cuckoo and BCM's better than 85% hatch rate. I have also just built a home made Incubator out of a wine cooler that hold 80-100 bottles of wine according to the guy I purchased it from and I have a test hatch in there now temp hovering around 100.3 and hummidity around 30%. I think and this is only my opinion you have to have the tenp and hummidity exactly right the last three days to have a sucessful hatch. I also have a turner in both incubators.
In my LG I have from Chef 7 BCM and 7Blue Coppers also from another person I forgot who I have 12 Wheatons Marans and 12 Blue Wheaton Ameraucanas and also a couple Black Australorps. So we will see what comes out of this one.
