I thought BB were not 'heritage' but more like hybrid meat birds similar to CX.

Yes Football was bought at a local feed store along with Bubble gum. they said he was a Bronze BB (but who knows) I bought 3 heritage hens and two Tom From cackle, I got them late march two years ago
. The bird on the stove is one of the Toms and i used the other to breed. I sold 60 plus poults.I have 6 hens Im keeping. I have 4 maybe 5 jakes I sold 2 of them at $75. I was planing on eating 2 but I may not if this Critter figures out how to get to my birds in my coops.

Update
I have been walking my field at night with a very bright spot light. tonight I was walking from the back, and I saw a huge cat on the second floor of my workshop. I went strait for it as it was watching me.Im guessing eyes were 4 to 5 inc apart. when it stood up to go hide I would say it was 16 inc tall. I could be wrong though I was close to 100 yards away.
I do have large Tom cats in the area But I think this was a Bob cat and its living in my junk! I have a huge stack of logs and cabinets up there.

I have been walking my field at night with a very bright spot light. tonight I was walking from the back, and I saw a huge cat on the second floor of my workshop. I went strait for it as it was watching me.I guessing eyes were 4 to 5 inc apart. when it stood up to go hide I would say it was 16 inc tall. I do have large Tom cats in the area But I think this was a Bob cat and its living in my junk! I have a huge stack of logs and cabinets up there.

Shotgun! They can’t take much. #4 lead will work.

I went back out again and I found two house cats under a old trailer house in the back.
What I saw before was not a house cat! I tore the wood pile apart and I think I have chased it away for tonight. I have a feeling it was coming for my birds!

That’s the way it goes. You have a bird taken. Set traps and you’ll catch 56 other animals that aren’t the culprit. Hang some big turkey feathers from a tree where they can blow in the wind. Sit and wait then shoot him when he shows up. Just don’t shoot the small cats. Lol

A 16 inch tail is not a bobcat. You said you were 100 yards away, mistaken identity? This may sound silly but do you have mountain lions in your area?

Bobcats generally are taller than 16 inches.
