Woohoo!!! My 36 week old dark brahma bantam FINALLY laid her first egg!!! But when I got it there was blood on it! ): Poor girl! There was about a quarter worth!

Ouch! I've seen eggs before with a little bit of blood streaking, like the hen was having a rough time when they popped out. I can't remember what causes it..........anyone else know?

one of my EE's had some blood her first egg but none on any after that.

I have gotten a few from all my new layers that had some blood on it. I think its normal.
