Poor little rookie broody...down from 7 to 3

Well the first loss my hubby found outside the nest three days ago....a broken egg with a developed chick.
Today mama stepped on an egg #2 down...two she pushed out of the nest a couple times so I candled them one dud #3 and the other #4 looks like a quitter on about day 14. She has three under her still...one she had pushed out of the nest and I tucked back under her so I am not holding hope for that one although she didn't push it out again like the other two so we'll see. Going into day 20 tomorrow so I hope she gets at least one chick from the three remaining eggs...poor little gal has worked so hard but she is not very elegant in the nest or moving her eggs around.

my dad's muscovy hen laid about 14 eggs 9 hatched but only 4 made it. pretty good for her first time though
