My chicks are 9 days old. This morning when I woke up and went to fill up feed etc the heat lamp was out. They are housed inside but my heating doesn’t come on till 6.30 so would’ve been chilly. I don’t know how long the lamp had been out for... anyway I have got a new bulb but one of my chicks is not really moving well. Head on the floor with bottom slightly raised so not usual sleeping position. The other two chicks are chirpy as ever and running about. The other one seems to be struggling to walk! This has literally happened overnight - could it be the lack of heat? She walks with a waddle no limp, and spread her wings. I’m not sure what to do!! Please has anyone any advice? Is her time coming or can I do anything to help her? Poor little thing 😰

Can you post some photos of the chick and her poop?
A video of her actions may also help - upload to youtube and provide a link.

I would gather her up, see if she will drink for you - hold a small cup or spoon of water to see if you can get her hydrated.
If you have poultry vitamins like Poultry Nutri-Drench or Poultry Cell, give her 2-3 drops a couple of times a day.

She'll need to be coddled a bit if she's to make it. Dip her beak in some room temperature water. Add sav-a-chick electrolyte solution if you have any. Try to get her to eat a little crumbled hard-boiled egg yolk. Good luck!

Hello, I’m sorry for the delay I left it a while to she how she got on. She’s well, eating and drinking but just doesn’t move well. No splayed legs. Tried mashing eggs egg yolk but none of the chicks liked it! I have attached a pic, she stands well but otherwise ticks herself away in a closed corner and doesn’t interact with my other two. She’s also growing at a much slower rate. 😰

She also drops her wings when she tries to sit down as though to help her get down
What's her poop like?

I would try to get some poultry vitamins that contain B2 into her. Do you have Poultry Cell?
You can also use human B-Complex vitamins, for her age I would give 1/4 tablet daily for a week.

She may be runty, hopefully she will take off soon. Sometimes a chick may have some developmental issues and fail to thrive too.
