Hello chicken lovers. i was wondering if anyone could help. A good few weeks ago I noticed my girls weren't acting their normal selves. They had been eating a lot prior to giving them flubenvet. I kept them just on this feed for about just over a week. They started sleeping all the time and got quite ill. I gave them food again ie Layer mash, dandilions. They weren't really hungry though. I dosed up their life guard. I also heard that powdered garlic might be good so gave them a bit of that in a syringe and brought them inside in the warm and dry to recover. One of the chickens had been very ill. Waddling around with a droopy tail. I thought maybe she could be egg bound. I soaked her over steam, bathed her and generally made a fuss of her including having a quick feel for any eggs. i didnt find any. After a week or so she is looking a lot better.

The other one however (the older girl) is still in a bad way. Her crown is very pale and has shrunk. she sits around sleeping all day. All I can get her to eat is rice. Suffice to say liquid poops from both. The sicker one now seems to have very brown/red liquid, but just today has had some more normal looking poos. Is there anything more i can do? Thanks. sorry out of my league here, I don't even know what flubenvet is. Have they ever been wormed, or treated for lice/mites. Either could leave them frail and poor condition because they are robbed of nutrients from one and anemic from the others.

Flubenvet is the worming stuff. I dusted for red mite.
